CHOOSING MASSAGE AS A CAREER
My massage career quite possibly started the day I received my first professional therapeutic massage. As a not-so limber athlete and stressed-out office professional, that massage had a positive impact on my attitude toward healthful living. The benefits of massage were clear - tension gone, far more flexible, muscles strong, body and mind restored. Ten or more years after that first massage I was attending a workshop focusing on health and wellness through therapeutic body work. As the workshop progressed, I discovered everything being taught came naturally - it all made sense. I had been studying human form and function for a life-time (through sports, nutrition, the sciences), and with formal education in bodywork, I cultivated the desire to help others gain/maintain their health and remain active and strong.
